BCU SKILLS & COACHING COURSE

BCU operates a comprehensive Coaching programme. it is designed to ensure that coaches and participants are fully and properly prepared to take part in the sport and that coaches are qualified to instruct participants in all aspects of technique, safety and understanding.

 

UKCC Level 1 & 2 courses

These awards are run by Wild River in the Lake District, Cumbria and a number are based out of Water Park.  Wild River is the home of quality paddlesport coaching and courses in the North West of England.  They provide a flexible service for anyone wanting to take part in canoeing or kayaking activities.  Whether it is an advanced paddling assessment, BCU level 1 Coach Course or a leisurely family canoe trip that you are looking for, Wild River aims to deliver the best outdoor experience to meet your needs.

Canoe/Kayak 1-3 star

Administered by the BCU these awards are a test of personal canoeing/kayaking ability.  They are a useful proof of ability if you are considering moving into the coaching scheme.
