RYA SAFETY BOAT COURSE

If you want to drive a safety boat for your sailing club or RYA Training Centre this course is designed for you. Run over two days from our Lake District location in Cumbria this RYA Safety Boat course covers the safe rescue of sailing crews, canoes & windsurfers, and the prevention of further damage to boats and equipment.

The course is non-residential, although youth hostel accommodation is available nearby. Collection and drop off at Ulverston train station may be possible. The cost of the course is £185.

Pre-requisites are as follows:

An RYA Level 2 National Powerboat Award
Have a basic understanding of sailing boats and windsurfers
Minimum age 16
It is strongly recommended that you hold a First Aid certificate and/or have some experience
Please note you will also need to bring your log book for signing. If you do not have one we can sell you one during the course for an additional £5.
